Working for Urban Equality was founded in 2021 in Portugal. We are a team of professionals committed to reaffirming the social function of architecture and urban planning. Teresa Lozano
CEO & Founder | Working for Urban Equality (WUE)
Teresa is an Urban Architect, Master in Urban and Regional Planning, and PhD in Gender Studies with an emphasis on Urban Studies and Housing Policy. Expert in urban planning and architecture with a gender perspective and collaborative housing for older adults. Certified in Participatory Gender Audits by the ILO and CPTED methodologies.
As founder and CEO of Working for Urban Equality (WUE), she leads the organization's strategic vision and the development of a proprietary methodological system that integrates architecture, urban planning, gender equality, inclusion, and safety to elevate quality standards in the built environment. Under her leadership, WUE develops specialized solutions for residential, urban, corporate, and institutional projects, accompanying governments, real estate developers, construction companies, international organizations, and financial entities in incorporating equity and inclusion criteria as quality, innovation, and sustainability factors. She articulates technical knowledge, applied research, and strategic management, turning gender perspective and inclusion into tools to improve the social, urban, and economic performance of projects.
